I've had tons of therapies since my last entry...Many of those have to do with a swoosh...My trip to Hong Kong was fun as usual, picked up a few interesting pieces there. For this entry, it's all about shoe fetish....
FYI, I went a bit crazy on this one...Ok, long time ago, I got this pair of Nike Air Huarache exactly like this (and I still have'em):
I know, it's still badass after all these years...And it so happened that I got jerked by NikeID site. How? Well, I was drooling for some Air Max 1 action at the site for some time, didn't come up with any color combo that I like...Some how I thought about my Huarache, made a similar colorway. With my luck, guess what? AM1's WERE NO LONGER AVAILABLE! Arrrgh! But of course, persistent pays off...After digging around some forums, found out that it's only available for order one hour each day(4 PM EST!) Panic sets in, fearing I won't get anything this dope ever, I went nuts and ordered 3...
They all come with a shoebag, not a bad shoebag, I like shoebag....
In Hong Kong, I wasn't really expeting to see anything all that crazy in sneaker stores. Time has changed, dope stuff can't be found in stores that carry general release stuff. So I was just thinking maybe picking up a pair of cheap beater or something...Rather check with Miss A for the good stuff. However, when I was the least expected...I saw a pair of Harris Tweed Footscape Woven sitting in a Nike store!?!? Of course, I can't just leave without a pair...I think they're as comfortable as the AM 1's, but not for long...though
Well THESE, are my current favorite. Stussy x Nike Dunk Low Trainer Free 5.0. I knew these shoes are coming out, seen pictures and all, liked it but didn't go crazy for them...Until a trip to Recon. For both brown and black, they got the smaller and the bigger size...Yeah, what's new right? Since every style of shoes are different, some run in true size or what not...especially this pair of frankenstein, I tried them on anyhow, you never know....Yup too *#$%^@ big...BUT! They're in fact the most comfortable shoes I've ever put my feet in!! Which makes me suffer even more...After many sleepless nights and through the mighty Internet, I found a pair in Japan and the rapage begun...yeah, they're not cheap at all. After wearing them a few times, I like'em so much that I'm actually looking for the brown ones now..One of those low key, unique, comfy and rare kicks. Right up my alley.
